Poker is a little bit tricky not due to mathematical calculations but because of the element of bluff. On top of that there is very little real feedback back to the player which happens when there is action. On topf of that the card deck is shuffled for every new game. Because of these factors the probability calculations are based on two levels. |

The current level works within the current game and is calculated when there is action. Simply speaking when there is a call so that cards are changed attention is put on the cards that are dropped and from that process of elimination someone can guess or predict what type of hands the other players are holding. E.g if four nines are dropped on the pile its very easy to tell that no one has a hand based on nines. Very similarly if three or two nines are dropped. Then double this guess with the number of cards each person picks up. This is a very rough guess which is why there is no way to calculate this kind of thing. |

| There second level of calculations is also very rough and is done by rough probability predicting that everyone will receive an even distribution of cards throughout the game. So someone who receives a bad hand throughout the game is more likely to receive a great hand at a later stage. But again the error in this is considerable because the hands are also based on the action when the cards are changed. Cards can probably be counted but it will not help that much in the long run and can become awkward. |
